About Microenterprise
Did you know that almost 65% of the small businesses in MD are microenterprises? Microenterprise Development Organizations aim to serve disadvantaged, minority, and underserved populations who want to start or expand their business.
The Microenterprise Council of Maryland (MCM) is a nonprofit network of public agencies and private companies who provide direct services and indirect support to people starting their own microbusinesses (5 or fewer employees). MCM brings providers and agencies together to find the best ways to foster and promote microenterprise development.
