EXTENDED CARE- FULL YEAR
DAY CARE SERVICES

Extended Care/Full Year Day Care Services are offered at the Annapolis Gardens, Freetown, Lloyd Keaser, Meade Village and O'bery Court Head Start Centers. These services are designed for Head Start children whose parents are working. After the morning Head Start session, the children will remain in the same facility and continue into the afternoon program until 6:00p.m.

Program: 
Head Start teachers, along with the Child Care Partnership Coordinator and the extended care staff, coordinate the extended care lesson plan/activities to reinforce the High Scope curriculum presented during the enrollee's Head Start session.

Educational plan/IEP goals, Health/Nutrition care plans are also shared with the extended care staff to ensure the continuation of the individualized program established for the enrollees. A nutritious breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack will be provided daily throughout the summer months.

During the months of June, July, and August, enrollees of the Extended Day/Full Year Day Care program will be participating in fun filled activities and field trips that include bowling, kids clubs (movies at Annapolis Mall), trips to the zoo, museums, parks, and weekly visits to local libraries. Head Start buses will be transporting the children on all trips.

Tuition:
The Extended Day/Full Year Day Care program is separate from the Federally funded Head Start program and must remain self-supporting through monies generated by your day care vouchers, co-payments and fees.
