Anne Arundel
Community Action Agency's critical objectives are based upon the
Agency's capabilities to meet the ever growing challenges and needs of
low-to-moderate income families.
Our critical
objectives correspond not only with the needs of the community; e.g.
rehabilitation, intervention and prevention, but also with the
components required internally to insure that the Agency upholds its
purpose of providing educational, economic and emotional support and
services for people.
In 1994 the
Agency finalized and implemented a strategic plan which was designed to
carry the organization into the new century. Following are the
objectives from that plan.

To
develop, implement and sustain quality services to residents seeking
to change their conditions.

To
develop and implement a "Holistic (total needs of individuals and families) Case Management System" throughout all service
programs of the Agency.

To
implement an Agency-wide client tracking system.

To
develop client training programs in the following areas:
a.
Personal Development
b. Training in
Computer Operations
c. Business Mathematics
d. Effective Communication skills
e. Business & Economic Development

To
develop and implement a quality control system.

To
increase and sustain inter-agency partnerships that promotes the
goals of the Agency.

To
secure within each program division at least one new funding source.

To
raise $20,000 through fund raising campaigns.

To
provide guidance and support to the economic development efforts of
AACECO, Inc. (for-profit totally owned subsidiary of AACEOC, Inc.).

To
develop and implement an effectively managed agency-wide
volunteerism program.
-
To
improve interpersonal relationship among staff, to include effective
communication, conflict resolution, personal development,
leadership, and management.
-
To
actively participate at the state and national levels with Community
Action Agency organizations.
-
To
collaborate with local, state, and national organizations that
promotes programs for the economically disadvantaged.
